European Patients' Rights Day, April 18, 2008
Venue: Parliamentarians Club, Skopje, Macedonia
The Minister of Health of Macedonia opened the event (as the new law is to
be enacted soon).
There was a round table discussion on the benefits and challenges of the
new Law on patients rights of Macedonia and two parallel sessions (on
protection of personal and medical data for employees, and on patient safety in
medical and pharmaceutical practice). Additionally, we promoted two
publications:
- Handbook of mental health, by Snezana Cicevalieva
- Mental health in the community, by group of authors
We put the posters at the conference venue and distributed
the following materials:
- leaflet of the EPRD 2008
- buttons of EPRD 2008
- leaflet of the patients rights by Macedonian law
- Macedonian version of the EU Charter of Patients Rights
- Copy of the Draft-Law on patients rights in Macedonia
- Bookmarks in Macedonian and Albanian for the promotion of the two
publications
- Bookmark for the ILO Safety at Work Day (which is April 28)
