The Association For The Right To Health (SHHD) carried out the following activities:

A Press Conference about the European Day of Patients’ Rights on April 18, 2008, followed by a panel discussion about “Patient Security and İts Legal Aspects.” The staff of the İstanbul Bilgi University and members of the Commission for Medical Law of the İstanbul Bar took part in this panel. Information about the European Day of Patients’ Rights was provided on our web sites, to be reached from http://www.hastahaklari.org ve http://www.saglikhakki.org .

During the program “I am a patient and I have rights”, produced and introduced by the members of our association, Leyla Hacıosmanoğlu, Mustafa Sütlaş and Tunç Demircan, aired on Yön Radio at 8.00 pm. On Monday, March 31, 2008, these events were announced and provided details on the European Charter of Patients’ Rights. 

All these events aimed to attract the attention of the public and the authorities on the topic of patients’ rights, to provide information on this subject and to set ground for an active, cooperative struggle for reaching a consensus on common goals and solutions.
