  • Translate the Charter of Patients' Right in your language (if we don't already have it!)
  • Promote the European Patients' Rights Day on your web page by putting the European Day banner on your website and link it to the European Patients' Rights Day (http://www.activecitizenship.net/content/blogcategory/68/159)
  • Sign the online petition to support the European Patients' Rights Day and spread the news about it to your contacts
  • Download and distribute the European Charter poster and leaflet in places where health care are provided (hospital, doctors' consulting and waiting rooms, pharmacies, etc.)
  • Send a letter by email to your European members of Parliament to instituzionalize the European Patients'Rights Day (if you prefer can use or adapt this standard letter)
  • Let people know about what is happening on the European Patients' Rights Day: put the news in your newsletter or website
  • Send a press release to the media
  • Organize a seminar or a conference to discuss the situation of patients' rights in your country e the possible implications of the European Charter.

something-new
Let's show what's happening around Europe.
It is important that we can show the amount of work that millions of citizens, patients and health professional are doing  each day to promote patients' rights and put citizens at the center of health policy. To do this we are asking that everyone send your pictures, videos and short description about what you are doing or any good practices regarding the protection and promotion of patients rights in your country.

You don’t need a professional video camera to do it, use your mobile phone and follow our instructions:

  • maximum length 3 minutes
  • the file extension .avi
  • send the short film by means of www.yousendit.com free service
  • the information we need about you to identify the film is name or association’s name and country,
  • if the film is your language please send us a short description in english.

Sharing information and working together is the best way to send our message loud and clear  to the European and national Institutions that putting citizens at the center of health policy starts with guarenteeing patients rights. Don't miss the chance to share your experiences, best practices and idea.
