Thomas Allvin Thomas Allvin is Executive Director for Strategy and Healthcare Systems at the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), where his responsibilities includes developing EFPIA’s policies for data-driven, outcomes-based and sustainable healthcare systems. Before joining EFPIA in 2015, Thomas was Health Counsellor at the Perm. Rep. of Sweden to the EU, representing Sweden in the Council working parties for public health and pharmaceuticals & medical devices, and previously worked in several positions in the Swedish Ministry of Health and the Swedish Parliament. |

Brando Benifei Brando Benifei, European Federalist, is one of the youngest MEPs and is from La Spezia, Italy. His main fields of legislative work in the EP are Employment and social affairs, Security and Defence and Foreign affairs. He is co-chair of the Youth Intergroup and vice-chair of the Disability Intergroup. He is currently Shadow Rapporteur for the European Social Fund Plus and Rapporteur Post-Arab Spring in the MENA region. |

Ann Marie Borg Ann Marie Borg currently leads the campaign on addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA). She holds an MSc in European Public Health and an MA in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University and has gained extensive experience in EU decision-making processes. In addition to assisting the Cabinet of a former European Commissioner for Health, Ann Marie worked at the Maltese Perm. Rep. to the EU and was responsible for international food safety matters and during the Maltese Presidency of the Council, steered negotiations on an array of files in the field of the EU’s common foreign and security policy. |

She is a very experienced journalist, speaker and moderator of high-level events both in Brussels and in EU national capitals, the editor of many publications, a regular broadcaster on television and radio news programmes and documentaries commenting on EU issues. |

Elena Gentile Elena Gentile (2 November 1953) was born in Cerignola, where she currently lives. She successfully graduated in Medicine at the University of Padova in 1978 and worked as paediatrician at the hospital of Cerignola from 1981 to 2005. Ms. Gentile dedicated over 30 years working in regional and local politics. From May 2005 to June 2014, she was member of the Regional Assembly in Puglia and she hold high-profile ministers in the regional government, being responsible for Welfare, Social Affairs and then for Health. In 2014, Ms. Gentile has been elected to the EP, she is member of EMPL and ENVI Committees. |

Arne Gericke Arne Gericke was born in Hamburg in 1964 but grew up in Papua New Guinea until 1979 when he returned to Germany. He wants to ensure that educational work (the work of raising children at home) is recognized as gainful employment. In 2014 he was elected for the first time Member of the European Parliament. He is a member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, as well as for the EU delegation to the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries. |

George Griffin Professor George Griffin is emeritus Professor of Infectious Diseases and Medicine. He is a Senior Clinical Physician and has established an internationally renowned research and clinical unit at St George’s University of London. He was recently invested as Commander of the British Empire in recognition of research and its contribution to Health. He was Vice President of the Academy of Medical Sciences in London and is currently President of the Federation of European Academies of Medicine. |

Afrodite Katsaraki Afrodite Katsaraki is 59 years old, married with two daughters. She is President of the League of Neoplasia Patients, Friends and Families, nw Greece “WE ARE TOGETHER”, member of ELLOK and ECPC. She was diagnosed with a malignant disease at November 2015 and advocacy is now an important part of her life. She is a Mathematician-Statistician and works as biostatistician in the University Hospital of Ioannina. She published about 50 articles on Medical Science Greek and international journals, more than 150 presentations, posters and abstracts in Greek and international conferences. |
