The webinar hosted by the Financial Times, in partnership with Pfizer, will explore strategies for living with COVID-19 that will ensure those at highest risk for serious illness are not left behind. The discussion – in which the Director of Active Citizenship Network is involved in the panel - will focus on how the ecosystem of stakeholders such as governments, health authorities, and pharmaceutical companies can better work together to prepare for surges and help protect the most vulnerable.
The Kickoff meeting of the new EU project BIORECER – which has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon – will take place online next 13th September from 9:30h to 17:30h.
BIORECER (Biological Resources Certifications Schemes) aims to ensure the environmental performance and traceability of the biological feedstock used by bio-based industries by deploying guidelines to strengthen the current certification procedures. Through this approach, bioproducts' added value, use, as well as social acceptance will be increased. In this project, Cittadinanzattiva/ACN is mainly involved in coordinating and supporting the stakeholders' involvement process. Read more
The European Association of Paritarian Funds – AEIP and the International Association of Mutual Benefit societies – AIM are pleased to invite you to a joint event on the topic: “The European Care Strategy: Solidarity and sustainability - friends or foes?”, hosted at the European Parliament by MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen, on 6 September 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 CET. The event will gather EU-level key stakeholders, policymakers as well as experts from social protection institutions, healthcare mutuals, carers’ and older people’s organisations, to discuss how to ensure the sustainability and solidarity of European care systems, considering current challenges such as the increasing demand, the rising costs of treatment and innovation, ageing populations and the consequent decrease in social contributions.

As a follow up to the Annual Meeting of the Coalition for Vaccination, and at the beginning of the Czech Semester, the initiative will allow discussion of the EU Institutions' commitment to Adult Vaccination: within the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union (1 July – 31 December 2022), what weight will the topic of vaccinations have in the Council Conclusions scheduled for December? How the different health stakeholders (civil society, patients, health professionals, experts, and institutions) can work together on this, and in particular what role adult vaccinations will play in the Conclusions?

On the 24th of May 2022 from 3 to 5 pm (CEST), Active Citizenship Network organizes a European training on Advanced Therapies Medicinal Products (ATMPs) as part of the #VITA - Value and Innovation of Advanced Therapies project.
Targeted to the leaders of civic & patients advocacy groups across Europe, the seminar will be an opportunity to highlight the fact that ATMPs are a paradigm shift for patients, public decision-makers, and healthcare systems, and to understand how to address the public budget and sustainability issues to consider ATMPs as an investment.
