In occasion of the “Europe's Tomorrow: Vaccination and Prevention Summit” held by ThinkYoung on 28 June 2028 in Bruxelles at the Museum of Natural Sciences, Cittadinanzattiva/Active Citizenship Network has been invited to share for the first time at the EU level the the results of civic monitoring activity of 147 vaccination centres across Italy and the Quality Charter of the Vaccination Services promoted in Italy in 2022.

In particular, as a follow up of the civic audit and with the final aim to define – from a citizens & patients’ perspective - a common quality standard for the management of and access to vaccination centers, has been drafted by Cittadinanzattiva – with the support of experts - the First Quality Charter of vaccination centers. The ultimate goal of this activity is to contribute to qualify vaccination, reduce access inequality and improve information. For instance, why are only 2% of them open on Saturday? Why don’t they adopt the same booking tools used to book a flight? The Charter is a tool to encourage new organizational models and facilitate citizens' access to mandatory and recommended vaccinations, in order to achieve vaccination coverage goals, according to age groups.

The meeting was an opportunity for policymakers, health experts, young people, start-ups, and civil society organisations to come together and discuss the challenges in the area of vaccinations and prevention both at European and Member State Level.
