Invited by Antonio Gaudioso, Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability at Luiss Guido Carli University and former Secretary General of Cittadinanzattiva, the Director of Active Citizenship Network (ACN) was pleased to deliver a guest lecture to students enrolled in the Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Strategic Management, Innovation & Sustainability. The session aimed to provide students with up-to-date insights into the complexity and evolving nature of citizen participation in shaping public health policies at the European level.

On this occasion, various participatory practices involving patients and citizens within EU-led initiatives were presented. The lecture also showcased a civic initiative independently promoted by ACN as an example of grassroots engagement in health policy. In addition, the matrix for the quality of participatory practices "—a tool developed by Cittadinanzattiva in Italy—was introduced as a practical framework for institutions seeking to design meaningful, effective, and efficient participatory processes in public health.
