The Director of Active Citizenship Network (ACN) has been invited to speak at the 4th European Congress on Human Genetics, which will take place on April 27–28, 2026, in Berlin, Germany. The title of his presentation is “A broader narrative on respiratory diseases. A citizens' and patients’ perspective towards the development of an EU Respiratory Health Plan”. With the occasion, it will be presented the main outout of the EU policy dialogue at the EU Parliament “Council recommendation on the value of immunisation against respiratory infections: a step towards an EU Respiratory Health Plan?”.
Under the theme "Genetic Insights for a Healthier Tomorrow," this event presents the most recent advancements, cutting-edge concepts, and research findings in human genetics. A citizen perspective, provided by Active Citizenship Network, will add significant value to the conference discussions. In particular, the aim of the ACN’ contribution is to provide a concrete example of activities that CSOs (Civil society organizations) and PAGs (Patients' advocacy groups) can carry out in support of public policy.
