Active Citizenship Network attended a high-level roundtable on respiratory health at the European Parliament, hosted by MEP Elżbieta Łukacijewska and organized by ACN’s longstanding Polish partner, the Institute of Patient Rights and Health Education (IPPEZ), in the presence of the Chair of the SANT Committee, MEP Adam Jarubas.

The discussion focused on the urgent need to position respiratory health as a strategic priority within EU health policy, strengthening prevention measures such as vaccination and early diagnosis, addressing environmental and behavioural risk factors, and promoting a more integrated European approach to lung health.

During the event, the Director of Active Citizenship Network delivered a presentation entitled A broader narrative on respiratory diseases. A citizens' and patients’ perspective towards the development of an EU Respiratory Health Plan, underlining the importance of prevention, health literacy, vaccination, and meaningful citizens’ engagement in shaping future EU respiratory health policies.
