The 5th transnational meeting of the EU-funded project Co-OPERATOR was held in Porto (Portugal) from 15 to 16 June 2026. All members of the consortium attended, including Cittadinanzattiva – Active Citizenship Network.
Hosted by Portuguese consortium partner Direção de Serviços de Prevenção da Doença e Promoção da Saúde – DGS (Directorate of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, a central service of the Portuguese Ministry of Health), the meeting involved analysing the progress of ongoing activities and discussing various aspects of the project, including dissemination and sustainability strategies, research, policy considerations, and implementation areas.
On the second day of the meeting, two interesting and constructive sessions open to external contributions took place. The first, titled “Looking for synergies and sustainability”, aimed to create bridges for vaccination promotion and involved representatives from other institutions and EU-funded projects, including the ECDC Unit, EMPHNET, the RIVER-EU project and the two EU4Health-funded sister projects: EUVABECO and VAX-Action.
The transnational meeting of the CO-OPERATOR project then ended with the “Vaccination Confidence: Engaging the Next Generation” national event. This session represented an opportunity to raise awareness among the academic community and build on the presence of the experts involved.
