The European Public Diplomacy Days (EPDD) is a European Union inter-institutional event. Now in its second year, it will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2026, coordinated by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament, and the European External Action Service.

On the morning of Thursday, 1 October 2026, the EESC hosts a dedicated session at its premises in Brussels (Room VMA 23) focused on "Civil society, health and peace – together for global solidarity". The session is structured across three thematic panels addressing health diplomacy, health resilience in conflicts, and health equity.

Coherently with Active Citizenship Network's mission to reinforce citizen participation in EU decision-making and champion health rights, the Director of Active Citizenship Network has been invited by the EESC as an expert speaker in Panel 1: "Civil society as a partner in health diplomacy: How can we ensure health resilience and fight health disinformation".

During the session, the Director of Active Citizenship Network will address key civil society priorities, emphasizing strategies to combat health disinformation, build resilient European health systems, and foster institutional cooperation across Europe. Read more
