The Institutional policy dialogue is held at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, as part of the celebrations of World Lung Day and the Year of Prevention in the Sejm. It’s aims is to present the current situation regarding lung diseases in Poland and Europe, and to identify the key challenges and health policy priorities in this area.

Organized in collaboration with ACN's long-standing Polish partner, the Institute for Patient Rights and Health Education (IPPEZ), the conference brings together parliamentarians, clinical experts, public administration representatives, and patient advocacy groups to examine the epidemiological situation of respiratory diseases in Poland and across Europe.

The meeting addresses both chronic conditions, such as COPD and asthma, and infectious respiratory diseases, with the goal of formulating concrete recommendations for systemic action.

The initiative also features the exhibition "20,000 Breaths" and testimonies from patients, bringing citizens' lived experiences directly into the parliamentary framework.

For the occasion, the Director of Active Citizenship Network has been invited in the roundtable panel: "Respiratory diseases as an EU priority: prevention, environment and risk factor reduction", sharing ACN's advocacy committment on the topic towards a EU Respiratory Health Plan.
