Active Citizenship Network (ACN) will take part in the final conference of the PROGRAMMING COST Action 21122, titled "From Education to Policy Impact in European Healthcare". The event will take place in Brussels at the Domus Medica Europaea on 16 October 2026.
This invitation follows ACN’s recent active contribution to the PROGRAMMING event held in Zagreb (Croatia) in June 2026, dedicated to building geriatric medicine and person-centred care in emerging health systems.
Building on this engagement, the Director of Active Citizenship Network (ACN) will participate as a panelist in the “Panel discussion: Opportunities’ identification and actionable conclusions: Translating EU strategies to national policies: the role of scientific synergies and civil society involvement for the advocacy of the quality care for older people”.
The conference, organized under the framework of the COST Action governed by the European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS), aims to foster dialogue between EU institutions, scientific societies, healthcare professionals, civil society organizations, and policymakers. During the panel discussion, the Director of ACN will share perspective on bridging the gap between European health priorities and concrete national implementation, emphasizing the crucial contribution of civil society and civic engagement in improving healthcare standards for Europe's ageing population.
