Protecting the value of vaccination after the COVID-19 pandemic across Europe: impact, experiences and perspectives of citizen & patient advocacy groups
Welcome to #VaccinAction 2024, the fourth edition of our EU project dedicated to strengthening adult vaccination in Europe and protecting the value of routine immunization and its benefits.
Project Overview
Building on the success of previous editions in 2021,2022, and 2023, #VaccinAction 2024 continues the commitment to advocating for the need to strengthen adult vaccination in Europe. Through this project, we aim to activate stakeholders to engage with European institutions and inform EU policy.
Planned Activities
Institutional Activities:
- Liaison and meetings with new and re-elected MEPs and other institutional representatives at the EU level.
- Development of a policy brief document on the main public health issues related to vaccine policies, tailored for newly elected MEPs.
Educational Activity:
- Face-to-face EU training seminar aimed at educating leaders of NGOs & PAGs about the importance of vaccination:

Advocacy Activity:
- Face-to-face meeting at the EU level for vaccination promotion called “Vaccination Informal Platform” (V.I.P.)
Planned for the 15 October 2025 in Brussels. Read more
Communication Activity:
- Launch of a social media campaign titled "Active Citizens in Europe Advocate for (Adult) Vaccination" to raise awareness and promote vaccination.
