Welcome to #VaccinAction 2025
The fifth edition of our EU initiative dedicated to strengthening adult vaccination and safeguarding the value of routine immunization across Europe.
About the Project
Building on the success of its previous editions (2021-2022 - 2023 - 2024), #VaccinAction has become a pivotal EU initiative promoting a culture of life-course immunization. The project continues to foster collaboration among stakeholders, advocate for better vaccine policies, and combat vaccine hesitancy across the continent.
Over the years, our work has helped:
- Bring the citizens’ perspective into the EU policy debate
- Expand the network of stakeholders committed to vaccine advocacy
- Raise awareness on the importance of vaccination at all ages
- Shape a shared European vision for life-course immunization
In 2024, #VaccinAction developed: A policy brief tailored for newly elected Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), addressing key public health issues related to vaccination. A Vaccination Informal Platform (V.I.P.) uniting Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) engaged in the field of immunization.
What’s Planned for #VaccinAction 2025
1. Two EU-Level hybrid workshops with the Vaccination Informal Platform (V.I.P.)
These high-level events will gather stakeholders from across Europe to share experiences and develop common strategies.
A) Thematic Session:
It is scheduled for the 2nd of October on:
- The role of vaccination in the fight against CVDs in line with the Council Conclusions on the improvement of cardiovascular health in the European. The goal will be to give evidence to the fact that vaccination can reduce the risk of complications associated with CVD, especially for adults.

B) Advocacy Session:
-
Share strategies to support national and European immunization efforts
2. A Practical Handbook: Civic activism experiences
This initiative aims to gather impactful examples of civic engagement by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) that have helped keep vaccination a priority throughout all stages of life. These may include awareness campaigns, local projects, or community-based activities focused on empowering citizens and promoting health literacy around prevention.
The collected experiences will form the basis of a practical handbook—designed to highlight national best practices, celebrate diverse efforts, and offer inspiration and actionable strategies to strengthen vaccination policies across Europe.
Share your experience and become part of the handbook!
